About

image1Fullarton Dental Care is a well established family practice. The team are dedicated to providing a high standard of general dentistry with a friendly and welcoming manner at all times.

History

Interestingly, there has been a dental practice at 24 Fullarton Street for well over 40 years. The practice was previously owned by Mr Couples and then after this, Mr Charles Sutherland who was the sole dentist for over 30 years. Since Mr Sutherland’s retirement, in the last few years the practice has undergone modernisation and expanded by welcoming our current Dentist – Jemma.

Services Available

  • We offer NHS and Private dental treatments.
  • Home visits are available for the disabled or infirm.
  • Orthodontic treatment can be arranged to help improve the appearance of crowded or protruding teeth.
  • Cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening is available and we would be pleased to explain the options and costs.

Fullarton Dental Care is a child friendly practice and we encourage all parents to ensure that their child attends regularly every 6 months for check-ups. In addition to this Fullarton Dental Care is a Childsmile practice.

Childsmile

childsmile-300x300Childsmile is a government funded programme aimed at improving the oral health of children across Scotland. Since being set up in 2011, it is delivered across all health boards both in dental practices and in nurseries/schools. The Childsmile programme is aimed at preventing dental disease and for dental practices it consists of mainly of toothbrushing/dietary advice and twice yearly fluoride varnish application. We encourage parents to bring their child from a young age – even before there are any teeth! – in order to acclimatise the child to visiting the dentist. We have two specially trained Childsmile nurses at the practice.
